About Prenups.com — Our Prenup Attorneys and Approach

Most law firms handle prenups the same way they handle everything else — as one item on a long list, squeezed between court dates and discovery deadlines. We built Prenups.com differently: one practice, one focus, attorneys who have seen what happens when couples skip this step and are committed to making sure you don’t.

What makes us different

1

A prenup is all we do — so we know how to make them hold up

Most family law attorneys spend the majority of their time on divorce. That matters because the attorneys who spend every day in divorce court know exactly how prenups get thrown out. We built our practice around the other side of that equation: drafting agreements that are specific, enforceable, and designed to prevent the disputes we spent years watching destroy marriages from the inside. Prenups and postnups are not a side service here. They are the entire practice

2

Your agreement is drafted by a licensed attorney — not generated by software

Every client works directly with a licensed, barred attorney in their state. No AIdrafted templates. No document assembly tools dressed up as legal services. You get a real consultation, a custom-drafted agreement, revisions, and negotiation support — from an attorney who understands both what you want and what your state’s courts will enforce.

3

A prenup is not just about divorce — it is about building a stronger marriage

The standard prenup protects premarital assets. That is a low bar. After representing over 1,000 couples in divorce, our founder Aaron Thomas saw that the marriages that struggled most were not the ones without prenups — they were the ones without financial clarity. The agreements we draft go further: they define how money works during the marriage, not just at the end of it. Fewer gray areas means fewer arguments.

4

Flat fees. No surprises.

You know the price before you start. No hourly billing. No invoices that grow as your situation gets more complicated. Our flat fees cover the full process from initial consultation through final signing.

5

Fast turnaround, built around your timeline

Because prenups and postnups are all we handle, your agreement does not get deprioritized behind a full docket of other matters. Most drafts are delivered within one week of completing your questionnaire.

Aaron Thomas

After representing over 1,000 couples in divorce, I saw the same story play out again and again — not because people didn’t love each other, but because they didn’t plan. I created Prenups.com to give couples a better way to start their marriage: with honesty, clarity, and a smart financial agreement built on partnership — not fear.

I am a Harvard Law graduate, a three-time winner of Atlanta’s Best Divorce Attorney, and the author of The Prenup Prescription. I founded Prenups.com because I believed the best use of everything I learned in divorce court was helping couples avoid needing it.

California Attorney | Licensed in California | Thomas Jefferson School of Law, magna cum laude

Rebecca Ritchey

Rebecca brings over a decade of family law experience to every agreement she drafts. A California-licensed attorney based in San Diego, she has spent her career handling the full spectrum of family law matters — including high-asset cases, complex property division, and pre- and post nuptial agreements. She knows California’s community property rules in depth and drafts accordingly.

At Prenups.com, Rebecca handles all California-based clients, guiding couples through the state-specific requirements that make a California prenup enforceable and built to last.

Outside of work, Rebecca is an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the San Diego Family Law Bar Association, and volunteers regularly through the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program.

Tina Hart

New York Attorney | Licensed in New York | New England Law Boston

Tina Hart is a New York licensed family law attorney with extensive courtroom experience across matrimonial matters, custody proceedings, and domestic relations in New York State. Before joining the Prenups.com network, Tina served as a partner handling matrimonial matters at a New York firm and as a Family Services Attorney prosecuting child welfare cases in Sullivan County Family Court. She has appeared before the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, and brings that litigation background to every agreement she drafts — because she knows what courts look for when they evaluate whether an agreement holds up.

At Prenups.com, Tina handles all New York-based clients, navigating New York’s specific formality and disclosure requirements to make sure every agreement is properly executed and enforceable.

Are your attorneys licensed in my state?

Every agreement we draft is reviewed for enforceability under your state’s specific laws by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. Our client-facing attorneys manage your process from consultation through signing. We currently serve clients in 30 states. Visit our locations page to confirm we serve yours.

Yes. You are not passed between team members or handed off to a paralegal for drafting. The attorney you meet with during your consultation is the attorney who drafts and finalizes your agreement.

A prenuptial agreement is signed before marriage. A postnuptial agreement is signed after. Both accomplish the same core goals: defining financial rights and responsibilities, protecting assets, and reducing conflict. We handle both, and the process is largely the same — initial consultation, questionnaire, custom draft, revisions, and signing guidance.

Enforceability depends on how the agreement is drafted and executed, not just what it says. Courts throw out prenups for procedural failures — missing witnesses, improper notarization, inadequate disclosure, coercion — as often as for substantive problems. Our attorneys draft with enforceability in mind from the start, following your state’s specific requirements at every step.

That is exactly what the Platinum Prenup is designed for. Complex situations require more time, more detailed drafting, and often coordination with financial advisors or estate planning attorneys. The Platinum tier starts at $10,000 and is scoped to match the complexity of your situation.

Online tools generate documents based on templates. They do not know your state’s case law, they do not know your specific situation, and they cannot tell you whether what you are signing will hold up in court. We provide licensed legal counsel — actual advice, not document assembly.

Let's get your agreement done right.

One consultation. Flat-fee pricing. An experienced attorney managing your process, start to finish.
